Day 3 and All is Well!

Good morning corn lovers!

Golden Sweet Corn loves the heat!  But with this kind of heat, the corn needs water.  Did you know that to irrigate properly, farmers irrigate at night to avoid wind, and mostly to avoid evaporation.  That means that Tony has been up a lot of nights this year irrigating, while doing his regular farm work during the day.  A big thank you to you Tony!

If you ever saw a bumper sticker that says "Hug a Farmer" - now you know one of the reasons - local farmers go above and beyond to ensure quality in what they produce.

When you come by the stand, take a minute to thank our Corn Girls who are working through this extreme heat with a smile on their faces :)

So just a reminder:

Komoka is open daily from 9am featuring Tony's tender Golden Sweet Corn and Joc's fresh veggies.

Strathroy will be opening at 9am on Friday

Hope to see you at one of our stands this weekend!

Laura
