It's Raining!
We're finally getting some rain! Such a welcome sight this morning.......
Don't worry, we're still open.....as a matter of fact we're opening our Strathroy location this morning at 10am featuring our Golden Sweet Corn for starters - Joc's veggies will be joining us over the weekend.

GOLDEN SWEET CORN IS BACK!
You've waited patiently almost 10 months for this - Golden Sweet Corn is back on our stand in Komoka on Wednesday, July 27th! We will do our best to be open from 9am to after 5:30pm daily to ensure you get the chance to pick up your corn before we close for the day!
Stay tuned as we open our Strathroy location on Thursday, July 28th......

Veggies......oh yes, we have them straight off our Komoka farm location - green and yellow beans, an assortment of zucchini, cucumbers (salad and pickling), beets in a multitude of colours. Note that our peas are coming to an end, so please come see us soon if you still wish to get some before their season is over!
We also have local tomatoes (our field tomatoes aren't quite ready yet), green peppers, and potatoes......
Blueberries are in season as well......more south-western Ontario fruit to follow soon!

Irrigation anyone?
This post written by Laura: All I can say is that the guys are exhausted, they'll be starting another round of irrigation tonight to ensure that our corn and veggies are as lush and juicy as they can be when they hit our stand!
After a weekend of wild weather in the London area, our farms barely got a few drops of rain.......crazy when you consider what some other local areas received - so they will be firing up the irrigation reels at sunset tonight.

2011 Season Begins!
Golden Sweet will be back at our stands in Komoka and Strathroy the week of July 25th!
In the meantime, our Komoka location opened on July 22nd and is featuring Golden Sweet's little sister....
Also available are beans, peas, cucumbers (large and pickling), zucchini (green and yellow), beets, from the farm as well as a few other tasty treats from the local area.
