Welcoming New Members to the Golden Sweet Family!

Wow, what a fantastic season we are having!  It's so nice to see so many familiar faces at our stands.....and to welcome new customers too!

We are excited to announce that Cornucopia (between Mt-Brydges & Strathroy on Hwy 81) is now featuring our lovely Golden Sweet Corn!

Also new to our family is Dobrentey's Farm Market (at the former Cornell's location on Southdale).




Our G 'n G Stands continue to be open as follows:

KOMOKA - daily from 9am to close (usually around 6pm)

STRATHROY
Sunday - Thursday - open at 10am
Friday and Saturday - open at 9am

Komoka:

9am - 5:30 to 6pm on most days

Strathroy:

Monday - Thursday 10am - 6pm
Friday - Sunday 9am - 5:30 to 6pm

Thank you again for all of the feedback we are getting again this year.....we never tire of hearing how much you love our corn!



Remember:  the Strathroy stand has Golden Sweet and much, much more:

Beans, garlic, tomatoes, cucumbers, canteloupe, watermelons.



Late-season raspberries will be back on both stands in the coming week or so, so stay tuned for that!

Community Support - Fundraiser!

We have always believed in being actively involved in our community and over the years have donated our time to support various community service club activities.

We continue to believe that everyone should give something back, when they are able, to help make a difference to the lives of those in our community.  We are very pleased to announce a fundraiser to be held at our Strathroy Location:

Holiday Monday and all is Well! ...and Open!

Holiday Monday will see both of our stands open for regular business......!


Again, our thanks to all of our customers who are patiently waiting in line at our two stands while prepare our corn for you to take home!

KOMOKA is incredibly busy, busier than in past years - a special thank you to those of you who wait in line while our Corn Girls prep the corn and veggies for you.

STRATHROY - what an incredible welcome from the community again this year - it's our pleasure to serve you.  Note that we have expanded our product line this year to include some of the veggies from our Komoka farm (thank you Joc) as well as our own gorgeous tomatoes......we have a lot of different kinds this year to tickle your pallet......and juicy watermelons and cantaloupes from nearby Watermelons Plus.

• Cherry tomatoes - yellow (low acid) and red 
• Lunch Box (one of Laura's favourites) - amazing to add to your shish-kabobs on the BBQ or just grabbing a handful to add to your lunchtime enjoyment
• Field tomatoes - several different types
• Heritage tomatoes - or what we have nicknamed the "Ugly" tomatoes - that old-fashioned tomato - ugly to look at, but with the most incredible taste!
• Roma tomatoes.  We have some yellow ones......but mainly the reds!  We would be happy to fill any orders you have for your tomato sauce making!  

Peppers will also appearing in Strathroy as they ripen over the next few weeks.

What an incredible few days!

We're sorry to say that we will be closed at both locations on Sunday, August 5th.

The great news about this is that it's due to everyone's appetite for our corn!  Yesterday was likely one of the busiest days we have ever seen at the stand......a GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all of our Golden Sweet fans!

A few notes about parking safety at our Komoka location.  You will notice that on busy days we have the edge of the road and right side of the driveway blocked off by plastic bins.  Note that this is to ensure yours' and other drivers' safety.  Kindly move up the driveway and find a parking spot on the left-hand side.....there's loads of room!  This will ensure smooth traffic flow both on the driveway, but most importantly, not block any driver's view of the road as they turn in or out.  Thank you for helping us keep this location safe!

In the meantime....enjoy your long weekend.  We will be back open at our usual times on Monday.

We apologize for being closed for the past few days - our commitment to quality sweet corn and our customers' appetite for it depleted our last patch much quicker than we had anticipated.

Both stands will be open, business as usual, on Friday, August 3rd:

Komoka


9:00am - close - all days of the week
We will have loads of corn available!

Strathroy
9am - close - Fridays through Sundays
10am - close - Tuesdays through Thursdays


Looking ahead......we have many large patches of corn to keep us in business daily right through past Labour Day weekend.
